“I Want to be a Voice for Every Gambian”- Marie Sock Jobarteh

Gambia’s only Female Presidential Nominee, Marie Sock Jobarteh has told Gambians that she is running for president to be a voice for every Gambian. She was speaking to the Fatu Network immediately after completing her nomination process at Election House.

“I want to be a voice for every Gambian, it is only us that can make a change for us and our children,” Marie Sock said.

When asked about what inspired her Marie noted that she was inspired by the struggle of her people.

“I was inspired by the struggle of my people. I am a mother, and if this is what I must do to help so be it,” she said.
